Your situation check

Beyond The Seatbelt
The 90-Second Seatbelt Pause
Before you bet, run this quick three-part check.
If any part feels off, you pause for 90 seconds. No exceptions.
1. Vehicle check
What am I about to use?
- What product is this?
- How fast does it move?
- What features are active (in-play, multis, boosts, cash-out)?
- What rules or limits does the product enforce?
- Is this product designed for quick decisions?
If the Vehicle is fast or volatile → slow down.
2. Driver check
What state am I in?
- Am I tired, stressed, bored, emotional, or chasing?
- Am I thinking clearly or reacting quickly?
- What money am I using — spare or pressured?
- What bias might be driving this choice?
- Am I gambling to escape something?
If the Driver is not steady → stop. Reset.
3. Road check
Where and when am I doing this?
- Am I alone, distracted, or in a routine trigger spot?
- Is it late at night?
- Am I gambling after work, after drinking, or during downtime?
- Is this a place or time where I usually make fast decisions?
- Is this a moment where I normally lose track of time?
If the Road is risky → step away for 90 seconds.
How to do the 90-second pause
This is not mindfulness. This is not breathing exercises. This is not therapy.
It’s a behavioural interrupt.
- Put the phone face-down.
- Stand up or change position.
- Count slowly to 90.
- Re-check Vehicle / Driver / Road.
- If anything still feels off → walk away.
That’s it.
The quick version
Vehicle — What am I using?
Driver — What state am I in?
Road — Where and when am I doing this?
If anything feels off: Pause for 90 seconds. Reset.
